Pennington/Red Lake County 4-H will be offering a combined Shooting Sports & Wildlife Archery program throughout the summer for youth in grades 3+. Youth will have the opportunity to learn about archery and expand their skills with two certified 4-H SS&W Archery instructors. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend! Sessions will be held Thursday’s, beginning June 1, at the Thief River Falls Archery Club on the Pennington County Fairgrounds. Two time sessions will be offered. At 6 p.m. youth with archery experience (1+ year) are invited to attend. At 7 p.m., youth with no archery experience (beginners) are welcome to attend. Expanding to two sessions in 2023 will allow more individualized assistance and personalized instruction.
There is equipment available for use, and youth are allowed to bring their own if desired. Please ensure each youth provides their own wrist guard and finger tab. Please note that youth will need to have completed 3rd grade at the time archery begins.
