Nourishing Youth through Kinship, Resistance, and YPAR

The University of Minnesota’s YoUthROC Youth Research Team will facilitate a half-day immersion into youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR).
This event is for groups of young people with accompanying adults or others interested in learning alongside.
Come ready to interact as we explore examples of YPAR that cultivates kinship and resistance. In "choose your own adventure" sessions we'll share
- methods, and
- questions about power dynamics.
A light breakfast will be provided.
We plan to close and celebrate the day with sledding at Theodore Wirth Park (1 mile away). Please wear or pack appropriate attire. Bring a sled if you have one, we’ll have some too!
- 12:30-1:00 p.m. Bring your own lunch.
- 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sledding!
- 2:00-3:00 p.m. Music and fire at the trailhead.
