We invite families, including parents and caregivers, to participate in this webinar to better understand how to engage youth in personal finance topics. This interactive discussion will highlight the importance of financial education for positive youth outcomes, ways to engage young learners and contemporary topics in personal finance for youth, including cryptocurrency, online spending and the influence of social media.
Miguel Quiñones is a third-year graduate student in the Department of Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. His research investigates how changing cultural contexts influence the financial behavior of immigrant families. He is interested in understanding how cultural values, economic circumstances and family characteristics all work together to impact families' financial wellbeing.
