4-H invites youth to take the NaNoWriMo challenge and write a novel in a month!
Youth in grades 6+ will meet virtually on Mondays in November and the first Monday in December to write together, share their work and connect with other writers around Minnesota.
Youth will work independently and in small groups. There will be personal encouragement, weekly incentives and prizes available.
If you have a passion for writing, then yes! While we will challenge all youth to finish their novel during our club experience, the ultimate goal is to connect youth and inspire them to further their writing skills. No matter how much you can write, our goal is for all youth to feel a sense of belonging and accomplishment, all while learning something new.
Virtual sessions will be once a week, 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday evenings from Nov. 4 to 25 and Dec. 2.
Sessions will include a time to connect with other writers, be supported in your writing journey and talk about writing challenges that will help you develop your writing to the next level.
