4-H clover Minnesota 4-H Livestock Day Camp - Martin County

Monday, June 17

youth with chicken

Attention all livestock project members!

Minnesota 4-H is offering 4-H livestock day camps at six different locations. At each site, we will look in-depth at topics such as fitting and showmanship, animal health and hoof/foot care, nutrition and biosecurity.

Martin County project species highlighted are poultry, sheep, beef and dairy goat.

Youth are required to identify one animal type that they will learn about during the day.

Check-in for the day camp begins at 9:30 a.m. with the program starting promptly at 10 a.m. We will wrap up the day at 4 p.m. The program will focus on youth grades 6 and above. We encourage younger 4-H members (grades 3–5) to attend with a parent/chaperone. Cost is $10 per participant, which includes lunch and breaks. We will cap the expense per family at $40 (four or more members of an immediate family).

Funded in part by the Minnesota Livestock Breeders Association.
