4-H projects play a large role in the 4-H program and at county fairs. Project area exhibits are judged conference-style, where a judge talks with 4-H members one-on-one about their exhibit and what they’ve learned. Learn to judge 4-H general projects at the county fair!
Join us to start fresh or sharpen your skills to be a 4-H conference judge of general projects. Hosted by 4-H Extension educators in Lyon and Pipestone counties.
Minnesota 4-H depends on the skills, talents and dedication of hundreds of adult judges. They make possible our county fairs and other competitive events across the state. To be a judge, you don't need to be a 4-H alum or an expert. You do need to know how to evaluate the learning that a 4-H'er has done. We will train you to do that.
