We will meet in April for 5 weeks virtually to read through the book. In May we will watch the movie and make some of the snacks referenced in the book. In June, we will finish our exploring while watching the live play at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center. After these 3 versions of the Matilda story are finished, we will gather in June to do a comparison of the book, movie, & play. We will also keep creating ‘things’ from the story for us to experience ourselves. We will showcase this project comparison (& possibly other creations we create) at the Freeborn County Fair of our findings, comparing, and time together. Freeborn County 4-H will provide you with a book copy of the Matilda story & pay for your ticket into the play. Questions about this can be directed to Amy Wadding at [email protected] or 1-507-377-5660.
The book Matilda will be provided to those who sign up. This will be yours to keep.
If you happen to already have a copy of the book, please communicate with Amy Wadding at [email protected] so another book is not ordered.
