We would like to continue our commitment to working toward true equity and ensuring all youth have the opportunity to dream, explore interests and passions, realize their fullest potential, and prosper. Back in November we Ramsey and Hennepin County 4-H hosted an opportunity for civil discourse in a 4-part series titled “Let’s Talk About Bias”. We had a small number of participants ranging from 4-H club leaders to 4-H parents to a 4-H staff member. The feedback we received following the session was positive and we’d like to host another series in March. We hope you will consider joining us!
The “Let’s Talk About Bias” conversation series centers on a short-film titled “The Look”, which is a story about bias in America. Through open dialogue and learning, we hope to raise awareness and understanding for the bias that persists in America today and encourage people of all backgrounds to show up for one another in the quest to end all forms of bias. We will also take time to each session to connect what we learn together and think about how it applies to 4-H-- i.e., how do we continue to create welcoming and inclusive environments within 4-H?
Let’s learn together and create a world where all youth thrive. We are grateful to be your partners.
The “Let’s Talk About Bias” series dates & times are listed below and these conversations will be facilitated via Zoom.
Ramsey County and Hennepin County 4-H parents, adults and volunteers
Registration is required; we encourage you to attend each session if you are able.
