Learn more about pollinators in this three-part series, which covers how climate change affects pollinators, the role of pollinators in food production, ideas for establishing pollinator habitat in small spaces, and how woodlands can serve as a pollinator habitat.

Latest bee research

Get the latest updates on bee conservation and health from Elaine Evans and the University of Minnesota Bee Lab, such as how to manage prairies to promote bee communities, learning more about nesting behavior and habitat for plasterer bees, how to best support specialist bees, and breeding mite-resistant honey bees. We will also highlight the most impactful recent findings for bee conservation from the global bee research community. We will leave plenty of time for questions, so come with all your questions about bees.

Next session

January 28: Pollinator habitats in action

University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardeners will highlight three pollinator habitat projects: pollinator meadow at the Carlton County fairgrounds, a prairie garden boulevard planting in Dakota County, and a pollinator habitat observation garden in Clay County. Each habitat will highlight how they designed the planting, selected plants, and maintain the habitat. Come prepared with questions to ask expert Master Gardeners.
