As a result, a halal meat market offers untapped opportunities for Minnesota farmers to diversify and expand their markets. It's also a path for new and emerging farmers to become involved in halal meat production. Join this introductory webinar to learn more about this unmet need and resources for producers to investigate different aspects of halal meat production. Serdar Mamedov, health & nutrition educator with the University of Minnesota Extension, will facilitate the webinar. He works with local communities to address access to healthy food issues. Serdar strongly believes that developing a transparent, sustainable, and equitable halal meat market in Minnesota would benefit both Muslims and non-Muslims. America/Chicago public
