Are you currently gardening, or would you like to start? University of Minnesota Clay County Extension is hosting a series of in-person, hands-on class sessions that will give participants garden experiences for a successful growing season.
Four monthly class sessions will address seasonal topics for growing a home-use vegetable or flower garden.
Classes meet on the following dates from 9 a.m. to noon:
- Wednesday, May 28: Site preparation and planting methods
- Monday, June 23: Plant supports, pruning, watering methods and fertilizing
- Monday, July 21: Pest management, pruning for air movement and harvest
- Monday, August 18: Harvest, fall preparation and food preservation
Register for all four sessions or pick the dates that work best for you.
Cost
- $25 per session
- $80 for all four sessions
