Add to Calendar 2021-10-20 16:30:00 2021-10-20 18:00:00 Freezer Meals Club What: The 4-H Freezer Meal Club is a chance for kids to get together virtually over Zoom and learn how to prepare a meal for the freezer to be able to enjoy the meal later. The club will meet six times (see dates below) and will be provided 8 recipes. In addition to learning how to prepare, cook, and package a different meal each week, there will also be a practical/hands on lessons along with themed discussion with colleagues from U of M Extension’s Health & Nutrition pillar of Extension.  Note that if you cannot make a meeting night, that is ok, we will record it if you wish to watch it and cook along at a later time/date.  Or, if you do not like the menu item, that is ok too and you can use your own substitutions. 4-H Freezer Meal Club is open to any youth in grades 6th and up (youth in 3rd - 5th grade may participate but will need to have an adult present the entire time food is being prepared).  4-H Freezer Meal Club will start at 4:30pm each day and should be wrapped up by 6:00pm.  Once the meal is prepared and the lesson is finished, youth will be able to log off and focus on eating and sharing the meal they've prepared with their family.     America/Chicago public
