Farm to School: Harvest of the month kickoff

This virtual kick-off event is for school food service professionals, teachers, school administrators, community connectors (like SHIP coordinators and SNAP-Ed educators), or anyone else supporting Farm to School.

Schools are encouraged to attend the kick-off as a Harvest of the Month (HOTM) team (school nutrition professional, educator, community connector) and learn how each team member can support HOTM implementation in their unique role. We also know that schools are approaching HOTM with different levels of experience with Farm to School and some may not have a team yet. 

• Learn about all that MN HOTM has to offer and how to use the resources to launch or grow your Farm to School program.
• Hear about best practices and tips for success from MN HOTM pilot schools.
• Learn strategies for how you can lead and support HOTM in your specific role (school nutrition, teacher, community connector).
• Get a preview of what’s ahead for the 2022-23 school year.
