Join 4-H volunteers from across the state to learn about “Facilitating Youth Sparks”. Youth sparks are an essential ingredient of thriving. A spark is a passion for a self-identified interest or skill or a capacity that metaphorically lights a fire in a young person’s life, providing energy, joy, purpose and direction. Having a spark or sparks gives a young person a sense of direction and encourages goal setting.

This 90-minute volunteer training will increase your understanding of sparks and how you can support youth in their development. Participants will discuss how to assist youth in overcoming barriers to developing sparks. Adult volunteers and teen-aged youth leaders are invited.

There are additional online and in-person options for this training. Find a training in your community.
