Current session legislation aimed at transgender youth

State legislators across the country are considering bills designed to limit rights for transgender youth's access to bathrooms, sports, activities and age-appropriate medical care. This webinar will examine national trends, Minnesota's proposed legislation for the current session and how these efforts impact the wellbeing of transgender youth.

Jenifer K. McGuire, Ph.D., MPH, is a professor of family social science and Extension specialist at the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on the health and wellbeing of transgender youth, specifically how social contexts like schools and families influence the wellbeing of transgender and gender non-conforming young people.
