Join us in "Back to the bunny barn" to learn even more and get ready to share about rabbits! Beginner to intermediate-level rabbit exhibitors are invited to join us for this five-session workshop held on Zoom and in person. Workshop sessions: Wednesday, April 5, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. (Zoom) -  Rabbit 101: Tour Lexie’s rabbit barn, meet some of the rabbits in the barn and learn how to care for rabbits. Thursday, April 20, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. (Zoom) -  Rabbit health and diseases: Learn about biosecurity from guest speaker Dr. Kris Nelson. Dr. Nelson is a vet at the Farmington Vet Clinic and a rabbit enthusiast.  Wednesday, May 10, 6 - 7:30 p.m. (In person in Owatonna) -  How to pick out and handle a rabbit: Learn how to pick out a rabbit, as well as rabbit judging techniques from guest speaker Cole Rupprecht. Cole is a rabbit judge who travels the world judging rabbits. He also raises rabbits himself. Thursday, June 22, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. (Zoom) -  Let’s get ready for the county fair: Learn what you need to know for county fair prep and what to do at the county fair.  Wednesday, July 12, 6 - 7:30 p.m. (In person in Owatonna) -  Putting on final touches before the county fair: Making bunny treats and grooming your rabbit. Zoom information will be emailed the Monday before each virtual session. The bunny barn series offers workshops in three parts for all youth interested in rabbits. Each workshop will have a focus of interest for entry, beginner, intermediate or advanced-level rabbit members. This series will be live from an actual rabbitry that youth can join via Zoom, with a couple of in-person workshops. The workshops will be offered from April through July.  America/Chicago public
