This online, self-paced course will cover animal nutrition, reproduction, housing and facilities, health, and livestock handling with information specific to beef cattle, dairy cattle, goats, sheep, poultry, and swine. It will help new livestock producers develop the skills needed to raise livestock successfully, such as deciding which livestock species fit your system and goals, and planning for facilities and supplies.
Participants are invited to attend biweekly meetings with the instructor for personalized guidance.
The course launches on February 1 and will remain active until April 30.
