Become a certified COMET facilitator- Rochester

Join the University of Minnesota Extension, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, and the Minnesota Department of Health for a state-wide network dedicated to promoting mental and emotional well-being. Attend this training to become a Changing Our Mental and Emotional Trajectory (COMET) facilitator.

As a COMET facilitator, you’ll help people learn a way to start supportive and  emotional conversations, which can help the struggling person move away from crisis and back toward wellness. Facilitators will be equipped to deliver high-value workshops, join a professional network, and receive certification.

Preparation 

It is strongly encouraged to attend a free 2-hour COMET workshop before participating in the facilitator training. This will give you firsthand experience with the material you will be teaching.

Certified COMET facilitator expectations 

  • Complete the COMET facilitator training
  • Commit to delivering COMET training in your community
  • Deliver COMET training in pairs with a co-facilitator
  • Participate in the COMET statewide facilitator network
  • List your name in a COMET facilitator directory
