Consultants who complete the workshop and pass the test qualify to be on the DNR listing of Surveyors of Aquatic Plants in Lakes and will be acknowledged on the Minnesota DNR website. Non-professionals are also welcome to take the test.If you are a beginner, we strongly encourage you to attend the optional 8 a.m. introduction to aquatic plant identification session. This workshop provides aquatic plant identification training for people of all skill levels. 

Cost

  • You can purchase one of the following identification guides, discounted for workshop participants, when you register (optional):
    • Aquatic Plants of the Upper Midwest (4th Edition): $40
    • Aquatic Invasive Species Identification Guide for Minnesota (3rd Edition): $40
    • You can add the book cost to your registration and pick it up at the workshop.
    • Book purchase is not required to attend the workshop.
