This is a weeklong intensive learning experience and the highlight of many 4-H’ers summers!
At Camp Counselor & Leadership Training, youth leaders spend a week learning leadership and counseling skills and having fun at camp! Thursday of CCLT is a hands-on day-camp experience with young 4-H’ers. As a 4-H youth leader, this is your time to shine and learn new leadership skills.
CCLT focuses on bringing together youth from all over Anoka County and creating a strong, supportive, amazing community with everyone involved. Participants can expect to spend time together being themselves, learning about themselves, and making lifelong friends in the process. Focusing on personal growth, leadership skills and working with young people, CCLT is a valuable experience for all teens.
Some Important Information to know:
4-H members who will be finishing 7th grade and up are welcome to attend the training.
To counsel at overnight camps (summer 2023 or winter 2024) counselors must have finished 8th grade or higher by summer 2023. Younger counselors may counsel at 4-H day camps.
All counselor applicants (both new and “experienced”) must attend all 5 days of the 2023 Anoka County CCLT if they wish to counsel this summer OR coming winter. Experienced counselors will help train the new counselors.
