Animal ID deadline

It's that time of the year for 4-H livestock families. New and seasoned members need to pay attention to the important information related to the animal identification process, as there can be changes from year to year.

As a reminder, you will receive a packet of information in the mail and an email with all animal ID information related to the species projects you signed up for in 4-H Online.

• See all requirement details by species and class. - You must follow all of these requirements, whether you own or lease your animal.

Animal ID entry process

• Utilize the Animal ID worksheets available on the animal ID webpage to help determine what information is needed.
• Use the identification requirements sheet to determine what each type of animal needs for identification.

We strongly encourage families to self-enter information using 4-H Online. If you need assistance, please contact the Extension Office at 507-825-1190 or stop in the office, and 4-H staff can assist you.
