Join other youth in grades 3-8 for a day filled with educational tours, activities, and relationship-building as we travel around Waseca, Rice and Le Sueur counties. On Monday, June 19, we'll start at Sakatah Lake State Park and go to three different businesses in the tri-county area, including Environmental Tillage Systems in Faribault and My Minnesota Farmer CSA in Le Sueur County.  Timeline of events: 9 a.m. - Bus leaves Sakatah State Park 9:15 a.m. - Travel to Montgomery 9:45 a.m. -  Stop at My Minnesota Farmer CSA (Montgomery) 10:45 a.m. - Travel to Faribault 11:15 a.m. - Stop at Environmental Tillage Systems (Faribault) 12:15 p.m. - Travel to Rice County Fairgrounds 12:30 p.m. - Lunch at fairgrounds (Master Gardener spot - color sample scavenger, a scavenger hunt with attitude, soil shake samples) 1:30 p.m. - Travel to Waseca 2:05 p.m. - Mystery Stop (Waseca) 3:05 p.m. - Travel to Sakatah 3:30 p.m. - Evaluation, wrap-up, on your way home You will need to bring a water bottle and lunch. We will be outside throughout our day, so sunscreen may also be necessary. Thanks to a Minnesota 4-H plant sciences "Germinating New Opportunities" grant, this event is free, including a t-shirt for all registered participants.
