Learn how to grow your own food and do hands-on gardening projects at home. See what others have grown and share your learning. These weekly challenges are every Tuesday throughout the summer and are for anyone in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
What you'll do
Once a week, you'll have a video challenge. You will respond with a short video on Flipgrid.
Youth will have the opportunity to meet weekly via Zoom to:
- Learn how to grow your own food
- Enjoy hands-on gardening projects
- Make a nutritious snack
- Explore food-related careers
This week is all about harvesting your garden! You'll learn how and when to harvest food in your garden and what to do with all of the extra food.
What you'll need to participate
- Access to a garden
- Seeds, plants and gardening tools
- A computer or mobile device and internet access
- Weekly supply list
