4-H Food Show

Hennepin and Ramsey County 4-H invite you to join us at the 2023 Food Show! This event is open to all 4-H’ers and provides a fun opportunity for youth to showcase their culinary creations through cooking, baking, display technique, and knowledge to a caring adult judge! New this year-- This event will serve as the exhibition and State Fair-qualifying event for all Food & Nutrition projects. 

How the event works

At the event, youth will speak with a judge and evaluate all 4-H’ers’ & their projects. Our judging schedule will be arranged by project category, which will be shared at a later date. Exhibitors should plan to stay for the entire event to share accomplishments, engage with the public, and enjoy the Midtown Global Market venue. 

Enter 4-H Project entries in 

• Food Revue: a tabletop display featuring 1 prepared menu item alongside place setting and written full menu
• Foods
  • Edible projects: bars & cookies, breads, cakes, pastries, meals, cake/cookie decorating;
  • Non-edible/poster projects: food science experiment, kitchen safety, food allergy research, etc
• Nutrition
• Food Preservation
