4-H Crop Scouting Competition

A crop scout inspects farmers’ fields and records weed, insect, disease and other factors. They play an important role, by helping farmers to make timely, informed and economical field crop decisions.
The 4-H Crop Scouting event will provide rotating station that replicate the aspects of a crop scout. Stations include: Corn and Soybean growth stages, Insect identification, Plant Disease, Sprayer configuration, and Weed Identification. This year the competition is going virtual!
This event is for: Individuals and teams of 3-5 4-H and FFA youth (completed 7th grade through one-year post-high school) plus 2 adult coaches/team leaders
Reward: Cash prize
- 1st Place = $200
- 2nd Place = $100
- 3rd Place = $50
No cost to attend!
Register your team online by the new registration deadline July 31, 2020.
