Interviews will be conducted in beef, dairy, dog, goat, horse, poultry, rabbit, sheep, and swine. You may register for one project area or all your livestock project areas. There will be three age divisions for each species: Junior (completed grades 3-5), Intermediate (completed grades 6-8), and Senior (completed grades 9+). Find registration codes in the 4-H Livestock Premium Book Section, under your respective species.

The Animal Science Interviews will be held during County Fair Exhibit Entry Day, Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in Olson Arena. Interviews will last 5-7 minutes per youth, per species.

Some possible questions are:

· Tell me more about the animal you are bringing to the fair.

· How do you prepare your animal for the show?

· What are some characteristics of your animal?

· Have you been involved in any other livestock opportunities?

All participants will receive a prize. Prizes will be based on the number of youth registered on the County Fair Registration Sheets by the June 30th deadline. The more youth registered = the bigger the prizes! Winners will be announced at their respective livestock shows.
