4-H clover 4-H Exploring Animals Project

If you're in kindergarten to third grade and you like animals, this is for you! You don't need to own an animal to join.

Work with an adult guide to learn the basics of animal science:

  • animal breeds
  • what animals need to stay healthy
  • things that animals do
  • stages of life
  • pet safety
  • much more!

What's a 4-H project?

Future study and careers

Your interest in animals could lead to lots of different study paths. If you're interested in animals that swim, you could study fisheries and wildlife conservation biology at the University of Minnesota. If you're interested in farm animals, you could study animal science.
