Minnesota Grazing School

The Minnesota Grazing School is partnership between the Minnesota Grazing Lands Conservation Association, University of Minnesota Extension and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The school is held at the University of Minnesota North Central Research and Outreach Center in Grand Rapids, MN in the summer. The Grazing School is designed for producers and anyone with an interest in learning about the tools of grazing management to benefit livestock, the grassland ecosystem and wildlife.

The agenda features presenters from state and federal agencies and universities on the topics of rotational grazing, soil health, plant identification and more. The program also provides opportunities for participants to conduct grazing demonstrations in the field, work with grazing experts on a grazing plan for their farm, and network with other graziers. Some of the top graziers in the state will share their expertise about various topics related to grazing techniques and grassland management.

More information about the school can be viewed at www.mnglca.org
