Minnesota 4-H State Arts-In is a 22-day intensive arts experience. Youth prepare a musical to perform 3-4 times daily during the Minnesota State Fair. Each year, State Arts-In youth perform at least 35 shows to more than 12,000 audience members in the 4-H Building on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

The Northern States Beef Conference is a multi-state partnership with University of Minnesota Extension, North Dakota State Extension and South Dakota State Extension. This educational conference is held biennially in December and rotates among these states.

The conference features topics for all segments of the beef industry in to the northern plains region of the U.S.

Teams of 3-6 youth compete on their knowledge of dairy cattle, dogs, general livestock, horses, lamas, poultry, rabbits and wildlife.

Youth from counties prepare and perform a play, dance, musical or other act. Each county nominates two groups to perform at the Minnesota State Fair.

Every September at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, 4-H'ers demonstrate their skills.

Every September, 4-H'ers and their dogs compete in agility, obedience, showmanship and rally. This 2-day event takes place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

In this annual competition, about 800 young people from across Minnesota compete in archery, muzzle loader, shotgun, air rifle, .22 Rifle, air pistol, silhouette fun shoot and a skill-a-thon. It culminates the year-long shooting and wildlife project. More than 16 events are awarded to 10 places.
