Eric completed a 6-month internship with the City of Minneapolis Community Planning and Economic Development office as an Urban Scholars intern, where he conducted a site and market feasibility analysis for a city-owned vacant lot. His work involved intensive data analysis, along with site visits and community engagement at numerous public and private markets.
Eric has also worked for a mixture of public and non-profit organizations while employed as a Graduate Research Assistant with the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA) while a graduate student. During this time, Eric was involved in extensive community engagement activities throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area, working on projects involving market and demographic analysis, multiple surveying techniques, and neighborhood and community development plans and strategies. Numerous projects involved issues specific to the northside, including connecting northside residents to the redevelopment of the Upper Harbor Terminal along the Mississippi River, equitable housing outcomes and strategies, and the proposed North Minneapolis Greenway.
