Berg Family
Bradley and Lisa Berg began their first year farming in 1991 on the homestead established in 1936 by Ernest and Alma Berg. Over the years, Bradley and Lisa have raised various crops, including wheat, soybeans, barley, canary seed, canola, sunflowers, corn and ryegrass.
The Bergs’ three daughters, Hannah, Eiley, and Sydney, grew up on the farm and participated in 4-H programs. Their families are all connected to the agricultural industry. Their nine grandchildren enjoy visiting the farm and are the fifth generation of farmers in the family.
Bradley serves on the Newfolden Co-op Elevator board, and both he and Lisa are members of the Middle River Community Club. Lisa is a school teacher; she received her elementary education degree from the University of Minnesota. She previously served the community as a volunteer EMT for many years. They are grateful to live near their children and grandchildren and are kept busy attending their activities.
