Springborn Family
The Springborn family farm was founded in 1906 by William Julius and Henriettea Springborn, who raised dairy cattle and also grew corn, soybeans and hay.
In 1942, Howard and Irene Springborn took over the operation and later transitioned from dairy farming to beef production in 1974. Gaylen and Wanda Springborn began operating the farm in 1997, raising beef cattle, hogs and row crops.
Today, Richie and Beth Springborn operate the farm alongside their children, Morgan, McKenzie and Meyer. Their operation includes more than 60 head of beef cattle and approximately 1,000 acres of row crops. Meyer graduated from high school this year and assists with daily farm operations.
Morgan and McKenzie were active in 4-H, participating in projects that included rabbits, chickens, sheep, horses and beef cattle, while also serving in various leadership roles.
