The second-best time is now.” Planting trees on your land is a great idea for many reasons, but if you haven’t done it before it can be a daunting task.This workshop will cover the basics of sourcing trees, site selection, tree choices, and best practices for planting and caring for trees. If you want to plant a few trees in your yard or hundreds in your woodland, you’ll gain tips and tricks to help you succeed. Please bring a pair of work gloves, if you have them, to use during the hands-on portion of this workshop. Dress for the weather, we will primarily be outside.This workshop is co-hosted by Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center, Cook County Extension, and Cook County Soil and Water Conservation District.
